The Staff Product Manager - Supply Role

As Staff Product Manager for the Supply Side of our marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the value we offer to our solar, storage, EV charging, & heat pump contractor network.

Reporting directly to the VP of Product Management, this role will drive exponential, efficient growth of the contractors active on our platform and work to make EnergySage the most vital component of any contractor’s business.

You will play a critical role in shaping our product strategy, working closely with product leadership, your counterparts in Marketing, Sales & Operations, UX Design & Engineering to define direction and prove, ship and build value.

What You'll Do :

  • Develop a vision & roadmap to make EnergySage a must-have component of any solar, energy storage, EV charging, heat pump contractor’s business, in alignment with the EnergySage product vision & enabled by a deep understanding of your customers, stakeholder needs and the relevant business & industry landscape.
  • Deliver projects that have measurable and meaningful strategic impact for the business and our contractor network, operating with speed to impact in mind and knowing how to prioritize and pivot to maximize that impact.
  • Drive impact with your agile team partners in Design and Engineering by executing the roadmap running agile ceremonies, breaking down epics into stories, engaging in design reviews and collaborating successfully with your product triad.
  • Drive and facilitate continuous product discovery talk to customers, dig into the data, hold stakeholder workshops constantly deepening your understanding of your customers, problem space and the relevant business and industry landscape.
  • Define the products and features for your roadmap, in collaboration with your cross-functional partners, writing clear and concise product specs and epics to generate stakeholder alignment and enable smooth engineering handoff with shovel-ready projects that result in high quality outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and product managers in Boston and Serbia to ensure the successful development and launch of features.
  • Leverage data through our various self-service tools to identify opportunities, make informed product and prioritization decisions and measure and evaluate the success of your roadmap.
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels of the company, collaborating and building alignment around your plans.
  • Influence and contribute to the strategic roadmap and EnergySage product vision.
  • Drive the adoption of renewable energy through home electrification and fight climate change.

What You’ll Need

6+ years of work experience in product management roles, with at least 2 in B2B product management working with cross-functional agile teams of engineers, designers, etc;

Solar or marketplace supply background a strong plus.

  • Change agent and builder mindset. You are results oriented, focused and self reliant. You have grit, figure it out and get things done, never afraid to challenge or reset the status quo to maximize impact.
  • Hands-on, vocal leadership. You work alongside your team and stakeholders and relish that frontline involvement and the firsthand knowledge that comes with it.

You are accustomed to charting the course & inspiring others to follow you.

  • Bias for speed, action and impact. You operate with a sense of urgency and move quickly toward outcomes, pivoting as necessary and proactively iterating to improve and you embed the same values within your team.
  • Ability to simplify. You are comfortable working in high complexity and ambiguity, and have the ability to filter signal from noise to drive toward the appropriate outcome.
  • Strong customer empathy & familiarity with user research. You know the value of the voice of the customer and the best ways to know & validate your customers needs fast.
  • Evidence-based product sense. You use a combination of metrics, research and intuition to evaluate opportunities, make cases for your work that are impossible to refute or ignore, establish roadmaps, define clear product requirements and enable the build of solutions.
  • Fluency with Data. You can define the data you need and leverage it appropriately to drive decisions and measure progress.
  • Strong communication and organization skills. You set expectations, are clear and transparent and know how to keep the right people informed of your progress.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
