Job Title : Maintenance Foreman / Supervisor

SUMMARY
Ketjen is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Foreman / Supervisor to work within our Pasadena, TX plant. This position reports to a Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of maintenance jobs.
This role supports supervising craftsman (direct and nested), fill the role of competent person for lifting and rigging, and administrative duties such as auditing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improve work force productivity and quality thru oversight of job execution
- Walk down jobs to oversee permit execution
- Identify any potential safety hazards that may need to be addressed in job execution
- Interface with Reliability Department to execute reliability improvements.
- Provides oversight for the lifting and rigging program
- Ensures lifting activities are conducted safely as per procedures
- Reviews and approves lift plans for critical lifts
- Reviews, approves and issues lifting permits
- Ensures Crane Operators, Riggers, and Signal Persons are qualified / certified and carry a card or documentation to show this
- Ensures mobile cranes, lifting devices and rigging equipment are inspected and certified for use
- Audit cranes, hoists, mobile equipment, tools, etc. to ensure that Pre-Operational Checks are being performed, records properly maintained, and safety related repairs identified / completed in a timely manner.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
- 10 years' experience in a maintenance roll and prefer at least 5 of those years in a foreman / supervisory role.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Good communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Independent self-starter with results-oriented focus
- Trained to level of intermediate rigger by a qualified training program e.g., NCCER Intermediate Rigger, NCCCO Rigger Level II.
Required Skills :
The knowledge and skills include, but are not limited to :
- Strong working knowledge in maintenance job execution
- Knowledge of tools, PPE, scaffolding, insulation, painting systems, etc.
- Capable of troubleshooting mechanical and process issues
- Knowledge and use of SAP as the tool used for maintenance
- Understanding of P&ID’s, schematics, and equipment drawings
- Knowledge of expediting, scheduling, and job kitting
- Knowledge and understanding of good engineering practices and principles
- Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to solving equipment problems
- Ability to listen and understand information and ideas and to express thought and ideas clearly and concisely through oral and written communication
- Knowledge of safe work permits and permit issuing
C omputer Skills :
- Common knowledge of Windows driven programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Outlook.
- SAP work order system is preferred
