GENERAL SUMMARY
BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB :
Perform direct and indirect patient care to a specific group of critically ill patients following the plan of nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES :
- Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients including setting room and placing patients on cardiac monitor.
- Performs periodic patient care rounds, anticipates and meets patient care needs.
- Provides postmortem care to patient in dignified manner.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Assure cleanliness and order in area's utility rooms and conference areas.
MINIMUM EDUCATION :
- Successful completion of the orientation process.
- High School graduate or equivalent
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE :
- One year of C.N.A experience / BLS trained with other C.C.A One year hospital or paramedic experience within the last two years.
- EKG experience preferred
REQUIRED LECENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS :
- Certificate of completion from an approved nurse assistant training program or other appropriate education e.g. nursing or medical student.
