We’re looking for a driven, organized and highly collaborative Interior Designer / FF&E Coordinator to join our program team in Jacksonville, FL.
With guidance and oversight from an overall FF&E procurement manager you will take the lead on day-to-day management of the furniture procurement process for our client’s K-12 program.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in transforming school facilities into vibrant, inspiring spaces coordinating with the design management team to organize FF&E plans and schedules to interface with multiple furniture vendors.
Partner with the project management team and multiple furniture vendors to establish milestones and deadlines for successful FF&E procurement, garnering assistance from the design managers and architect of record to schedule and lead FF&E coordination meetings with principals and school representatives to confirm all furniture selections and finish choices for FF&E orders.
You’ll assist in developing and implementing branding strategies that align with the vision and mission of each school and prepare design briefs that capture the unique character and needs of each project, promoting engaging and functional learning environments.
You’ll attend regular meetings with furniture vendors and project management team members to gather information to update tracking spreadsheets and schedules to quickly identify, escalate, and resolve issues quickly.
Organize, track, and communicate confirmation of finalized order choices with overall team, ensuring purchase orders for all furniture vendors are issued;
organize, track, and confirm orders are placed in client marketplace system (or similar) in order to comfortably receive furniture by established deadline.
Partner with project managers and furniture vendors to establish FF&E delivery schedule, be onsite for FF&E delivery supervision, troubleshooting, and install completion confirmation, and schedule FF&E punch list walks and issue resolution.
You’ll work with furniture vendors to obtain quotes for projects, with assistance of PMO review and verify accuracy of all vendor quotes and work with budget and finance teams to provide estimated expected spend and confirm funding is available.
Review with project managers and finance accurate purchase orders for delivered product and ensure timely invoice payment.
Assist as needed with coordination of new furniture bid specifications and subsequent contracts.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or related technical field
5+ years’ experience in a similar Interior Designer or FF&E position
Ability to read and understand FF&E plans and specifications, familiarity with furniture industry standards
Experience managing multiple projects and timelines, organizing project details, and clearly communicate critical updates with program stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to be proactive, flexible, efficient and task focused in a fast paced deadline driven environment
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with the ability to drive to project sites based on business need
Ability to relocate to Jacksonville, FL area if you do not currently reside in Jacksonville
Ideally, you’ll also have
Proficiency in CAD
Familiarity with education based furniture manufacturers and products
Space planning sketching skills for test fits of classroom furniture
Ability to interface with the architectural design process to support the furniture selection
