Description
We are currently hiring for an exciting new opportunity on our Dialysis unit for a Quality and Safety Nurse. This is a full time 40 hour / week position.
Flexible work schedule (a combination of on-site and remote).
- The successful candidate will coordinate the hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and continuous veno-venous hemofiltration quality assurance program.
- The Dialysis Quality & Safety Nurse will participate in quality programs including : reporting and analyzing clinical outcome data and providing reports to department leaders to facilitate quality improvement;
maintaining compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and the Joint Commission standards; systematically reviewing quality data that are internally and externally reporting and apprising leaders of performance and opportunities for improvement.
- the nurse will be the subject matter expert managing data that is required to maintain compliance with CMS and the Joint Commission to share with clinical staff to maintain the MGH dialysis services.
- the nurse will identify areas for improvements, design improvement actions and coordinate implementation in conjunction with dialysis leadership and staff.

Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Dialysis experience and quality improvement experience / training (IHI, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc) strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have an understanding of principals of continuous quality improvement in health care
- Knowledge of IPRO, EQRS, NHSN reporting systems and quality metrics for dialysis patients is preferred
- Must be knowledgeable and compliant with all hospital, State and Federal regulatory requirements, including hospital policy, the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid, and the Joint Commission.
- You will be working across the ambulatory peritoneal dialysis clinic and inpatient hemodialysis unit.
