People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience.

What you'll do :

• You are responsible for coding, unit testing, and building high-performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers.
• You are expected to be a more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain / technology in general.
• Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) evaluations.
• Provide technical mentorship & coaching to engineers.
• You will use event-driven and microservices architecture to interact with SQL and No-SQL Databases to achieve the goal of paying Walmart’s & SAM's associates timely, accurately, and efficiently with zero manual intervention.
• You will be part of the application development team in software design and implementation, upholding our architectural patterns, design patterns, coding standards, quality principles, and customer focus.

What you'll bring :

• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of Java / J2EE Technologies and Microservices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Restful Web Services.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Design Patterns.
• Experience in API Development and Event Driven application development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and No-SQL technologies such as DB2, MS SQL, Cosmos DB, AZURE SQL.
• Experience with Architecture, Design, Development, Reviews, etc.
• Interact with a highly skilled Architects community to share and learn new technologies, scalability, performance, etc.
• Gain hands-on experience to design scalable solutions, work with Walmart business, and product.
• Gain development experience of sophisticated, scalable, and high-performing systems.
• Leverage open-source technologies using public clouds, build and mentor engineers, present ideas to larger organizations, and foster a culture of independence to run a team.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems, including scalability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance.
