This role is based in our Miami office, and priority will be given to candidates located in the Miami area. Applicants outside this location or without plans to relocate will not be considered.
Principal Software Engineer - Responsibilities
- Play a key role in technical, business, and organizational decisions impacting the department.
- Mentor, guide, and support domain experts and individual contributors across multiple teams.
- Propose and deliver technical solutions that address scalability and performance challenges.
- Focus on full-stack development to enhance customer-focused experiences and expand the company's solutions portfolio.
- Identify, advocate for, and implement functional and architectural improvements.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry trends.
- Participate in all phases of the service lifecycle, collaborating with technical and testing leads on design, development, deployment, and support.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for system-related issues in enterprise-level software.
- Implement strong security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Establish monitoring systems to track platform performance and define maintenance procedures for smooth operations.
Principal Software Engineer - Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based platforms and a proven track record of building and scaling high-performance systems (5+ years of experience).
- Expertise in building high-performance, scalable microservices and API gateways.
- Experience with CI / CD systems, Terraform, and close collaboration with Infrastructure teams.
