Property Accountant

CFS has partnered with a leading real estate firm managing a world-class portfolio of 100+ commercial and residential properties, including high-profile and international assets.
We're seeking a smart and eager Property Accountant to manage financial reporting for a set of properties, working alongside the Group Controller.
Location : Stamford, CT
Work Modality : 100% in-office
Compensation : $80,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
- Prepare financial statements (GAAP, Tax, and Fair Value basis)
- Assist with reporting to management, investors, and lenders
- Support annual audits with independent CPA firms
- Oversee cash flow, budgets, and expense approvals
- Manage CAM / Tax reconciliations and sales tax filings
- Oversee lease administration, AR, and AP functions
- Perform ad hoc reporting as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP, Fair Value, and Tax basis accounting
- Experience with Real Estate Industry Software (Yardi, MRI)
