Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Systems Administrator located in Omaha, NE. The Financial Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with managing and maintaining financial systems, analyzing financial data, administering system configurations, and identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.
The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Accounting / Finance practices and principles.
- Understanding of Project Accounting and best practices in a Project-based business.
- Problem solving skills and ability to understand user needs.
- Strong analytical, communication and written skills with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts and ideas.
- Strategic thinker with strong financial and business analytical skills.
- Microsoft Transact SQL development skills for queries.
- Ability to quickly learn new functionality and transfer this knowledge to others.
- Ability to perform all tasks in the implementation cycle, including business process definition, configuration and unit testing, support of user acceptance testing and post-go live support.
- Skilled in requirements analysis and report design.
- Proficient with the MS Office Suite of tools, including Pivot Tables, Data connections, VLOOKUP and other formulas within Excel.
- Conscientious with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Project management skills.
- Documentation skills.
- Ability to take initiative and to work independently and in a team environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in finance / accounting.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project-based professional services firm.
- Experience with accounting and finance and its impact on financial management, reporting tools and systems.
- Accounting system administration experience.
- Experience with project accounting, project planning, and financial accounting processes.
- Experience with eCMS and / or Quickbooks is a plus.
