Responsibilities*
- You will ensure public safety, protect our assets and act as the primary liaison with state and local police, fire and security agencies;
- Act calmly in emergency situations and use emergency equipment.
- Detect safety hazards and criminal activity.
- Patrol museums and grounds to identify safety hazards and criminal activity
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports.
- Provide security and customer service for Museum events and traffic and crowd control for special events.
- Respectfully communicate and work with all staff and community members.
- Enforce University regulations and security procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Required Qualifications*
- High School or GED equivalent and one ear of experience in a security, fire, military, customer service, or emergency management field
- Experience with the enforcement of fire, safety, and security practices
- Can assist emergency response personnel with maneuvering persons who may be combative, intoxicated, or unconscious, and can restrain someone.
- Skillset in handling emergency situations and using associated equipment
- You can perform life saving techniques such as CPR and First Aid.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record with less than 6 points.
- You must pass a background investigation, drug screening, psychological evaluation, and physical examination.
Modes of Work
