Role Overview :

As a Physician Practice Assistant in our Outpatient Clinic you will :

• Provide administrative support at the front office.
• Assist with patient care, including obtaining critical vitals.
• Collaborate with dedicated physicians to enhance the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all the people of Hawai i.

Qualifications :

To qualify for the Physician Practice Assistant role, candidates must meet one of the following criteria :

Completion of a Program / Degree in one of the following fields :

Medical Assistant Nursing Assistant Emergency Medical Technician Nursing (LPN or RN)

Current Nursing Students who have completed a semester of clinical fundamentals and a pharmacology course.

Prior Direct Patient Care Experience (preferably in a physician practice setting) or prior administrative medical office experience in one of the following areas :

Patient Access or Admitting Registration Scheduling Insurance Verification (preferably in a physician practice setting)

Additional requirements :

• Current CPR certification at the BLS / HCP level.
• Proficiency with computers and automated systems.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Primary Care (Behavioral Health, Wound, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Pediatrics, Kahu a Ola)
• Orthopedic
• Surgeons Clinic
