Overview
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for some Lab Technicians for their site in Hillsboro, OR.
These long-term contract positions (eligible for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offer a starting pay rate of $22 / hour (benefits are available).
Chemistry Lab experience (professional or academic) is required.

This site is an Electronic Materials Sampling and Development facility. The site supplies materials for semiconductor manufacturing applications related to the electronics industry.
The selected candidates will assist engineers with formulation and characterization of developmental semiconductor process chemicals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- They are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance.
- Under the supervision of chemists and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions.
- They also conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Science
- Prefer degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science
- Previous hands-on lab experience required (academic or professional)
- 2-5 years experience in a similar role is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs) is a plus
