Our Client, a leading Food Producer in the Fairlawn NJ area is hiring a Director of Purchasing for their Organization.

This role will support the CFO.

The ideal candidate will come out of the food industry and have extensive purchasing expertise within a fast paced manufactruing environment.

This role will be a standalone role and will involve a strong understanding of inventory, inventory flow, profit maximization, cost reducing measures, loss prevention and more.

Additionally, this person will be responsible for securing best available quality products at lowest costs by evaluating contracts, suppliers, help establish "deals", etc.

This person will establish preferred vendors, show strategic direction, market position, financial due diligence and more.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree

5+ years Purchasing Experience within Foods

Inventory Expertise

Contract Negotiation Expertise

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
