We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our team for the 2024 / 2025 school year.
This full-time position involves working closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who does not use ASL, providing interpretation services for elementary and middle school students.
This position is onsite.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide interpretation services for elementary and middle school students.
- Work collaboratively with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who does not use ASL.
- Ensure effective communication between students, staff, and the SLP.
- Support students' participation in their educational program.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and other professionals.
Qualifications :
- Must hold a valid Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification.
- Experience in providing interpretation services in an educational setting.
- Non ASL
- interpretation techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
