Anchor Talent has partnered with a global heavy equipment manufacturer to recruit a Licensed Customs Broker to support Supply Chain for North America operations.
This role will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with all US import and export regulations.
As a Licensed Customs Broker, you will be a key member of the Trade Compliance team, responsible for overseeing and facilitating the customs clearance process.
You will ensure US supply chain operations adhere to all applicable legal requirements, minimizing risks and ensuring smooth cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive efficient & robust import & export custom clearance procedures between North America to the Globe
- Manage ACE, HTS, export / import valuation, ITAR / EAR regulation familiarity Other Government Agency requirements such as FDA, EPA, DDTC and Free Trade Agreements.
- Analyze and categorize products based on HTS Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification and Schedule Bin various databases
- Analyze and aggregate the causes of customs clearance issues to drive improvement actions
- Broker Management (Drawback, Audits, HTS, Timeliness, ISF filing, Post Summery Corrections, Recordkeeping)
- Work with freight forwarders, US customs officers, custom brokers, and internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to customs and import and export regulations
- Ensure compliance for CTPAT, PIP
- ACE reporting and portal management for all Business Units
- Responses to Customs RFI, POA, SOPs, and bond renewals
- Oversee accuracy of Form 28, 29 and FDA.
- Stay abreast of trends and regulations changes, ensuring import / export trainings are current
- Continuous Improvement : Executing continuous improvement and strategy deployment and working to standardize processes and develop best practices
- Manage ACE, HTS, export / import valuation, ITAR / EAR regulation familiarity Other Government Agency requirements such as FDA, EPA, DDTC and Free Trade Agreements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, will consider experience if no degree
- US Customs Broker License required
- Certification with CTPAT Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism preferred
- 7+ years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, construction, or similar industry
- Knowledge and understanding of import / export licenses and International Trade Compliance
- Proficiency with ACE Portal
