Thomson Reuters is a Canadian owned multi-national group with global business operations. We are seeking a candidate with US corporate and international tax experience to work in the international tax and transfer pricing group.
The role will be involved in all aspects of international tax with a focus on US rules and regulations.
About the Role

In this opportunity as Director, International Tax, you will :
- Liaise with business groups to advise on matters of international tax and transfer pricing, and maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant business facts.
- Act as tax representative for third party acquisitions / dispositions.
- Analyze US international tax, transfer pricing and treaty issues arising from general business operations, restructurings or other strategic needs.
- Communicate with global Tax department and other corporate groups including Legal, Treasury and Finance including through written memoranda regarding tax analyses and guidelines.
Manage projects, including :
- tax aspects of global intercompany transactions,
- integration of acquired assets and businesses,
- providing support for appropriate transfer pricing within parameters of transfer pricing principles and existing company policies.
The role will report to Head of International Tax and work in a supportive team environment with access to continuous learning and professional growth and development.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Director, International Tax if your background includes :
- At a minimum a JD or CPA certification. An LL.M. in taxation is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in tax at a law firm or accounting firm; corporate in-house tax experience will also be considered.
- Experience with US international tax.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing and communication skills.
- A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.

The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations : Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC.
The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $151,700 - $281,700. The base compensation range in other locations may vary.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
