OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented, client-service oriented Junior Paralegal to join our paralegal team on the West Coast. This is an entry-level position, although some work experience is preferred.

The position will support various practice groups, including litigation, investigations, and government controversies.

Qualified individuals must have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to take direction.

Overtime and travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive practice support and case management
• Draft and proofread correspondence, notices, documents, and forms
• Organize and electronically file documents in various courts and jurisdictions
• Organization of documents for use at depositions, hearings, and trial
• Conduct research, as needed
• Assist with maintenance and organization of case team documents
• Assist with preparation of briefs and other legal documents
• Monitor deadlines and due dates
• Organize, analyze, and index documents and exhibits
• May attend and assist at trial
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved institution
• The ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow
• Superior organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred
• Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and client service skills
