Your day as a Operating Room Technologist (OR Scrub Tech)

As a vital member of our team at Comprehensive Interventional Care Centers in Albuquerque, your role as a Per Diem Operating Room Technologist will be both challenging and rewarding.

You will prepare and organize essential operating room equipment and instruments, ensuring a seamless flow during various surgical procedures.

Anticipating the needs of both physicians and patients is key, as you will facilitate the handling of surgical specimens and assist with surgical dressings while maintaining a sterile environment.

Your expertise in utilizing correct body mechanics will ensure safe patient transport and positioning. You will scrub in and assist the physician during procedures, as well as circulate within the suite to procure necessary surgical equipment.

Maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, you will inspect, replace, and sterilize instruments while adhering to HIPAA, infection control, and safety guidelines.

Are you the Operating Room Technologist (OR Scrub Tech) we're looking for?

To thrive as a Per Diem Operating Room Technologist at Comprehensive Interventional Care Centers, you'll need a blend of technical expertise and soft skills.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is essential, along with a preferred certification in Surgical Technology as mandated by the state.

Ideally, candidates will have 1-2 years of operating room experience, showcasing familiarity with various surgical specialties, including plastics, orthopedics, podiatry, and ENT cases.

Possessing BLS certification is a must, as it reflects your commitment to patient safety and care. You'll also need to maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.

Effective verbal and written communication skills will facilitate seamless interactions with physicians, patients, and the surgical team, ensuring that everyone's needs are met.

Scrubbing in requires not only technical ability but also strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to manage any equipment discrepancies that may arise during procedures.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
