Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore resources to develop and execute testing strategies, plans, and test cases for insurancepliance reporting software.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing, as necessary.
  • Identify, log, track, and manage software defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and closure of issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and ensureprehensive test coverage.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain a thorough understanding of the software and provide input on potential areas of improvement.
  • Utilize test automation tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other team members to define and implement quality assurance standards and best practices.
  • Provide timely and accurate status reports and updates regarding testing progress and results to project stakeholders.
  • Continuously stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and contribute to the adoption of new tools and techniques.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree inputer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience in software testing, preferably in the insurance industry or related field.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly within Agile development models.
  • Experience working with onshore and offshore resources and the ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, and the ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke testing, UAT, and performance testing.
  • Excellentmunication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools as required.

In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $65,500 to $108,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
