Sr. Software Engineer

Our client is looking to add a skilled software engineer to their Customer Communications team. This company has an award-winning company culture and is eager to find a passionate engineer that can help drive innovation.

Length : 4-month contract to hire

Location : Remote

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable systems, services, and API’s
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Utilize automated CI / CD pipelines to deploy software packages in a DevOps environment
• Enable user analytics, logging, monitoring, and instrumentation for all services
• Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests
• Ability to work independently
• Collaborate with various team members and stakeholders on requirements definition and feature design and development
• Take part in agile ceremonies for estimation and execution of continuous product

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a software engineer with excellent design, problem solving and debugging skills
• Experience with .NET Core
• Hands on experience in building scalable systems using containers / serverless in AWS
• Knowledge of lamda functions
• Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes or Docker. Kubernetes prefered.
• Experience in building RESTful services
• Experience with SQL for data persistence
• Experience in scrum and agile methodologies

Desired Qualifications

• Kubernetes experience
• React or a similar front-end framework
• Python Experience
• NoSQL experience
• Experience with OpenText Exstream or another CCM platform
