GEICO is seeking an energetic and accomplished Director of Finance to support our Agency and Specialty Lines Finance team.
Reporting to the CFO of Agency and Specialty Lines, The Director of Finance will support strategy development and strategic decision making, enable financial and operational planning & forecasting, develop and deliver monthly results and operating reviews, drive insights to our operations leaders and business partners, and improve the data driven decision making engine across the business.
This is a high visibility role supporting areas of GEICO that are poised to be our growth engine for the coming years. Collaboration, enthusiasm, a growth mindset, and ability to execute within tight timelines are essential for success in this role.
This position is a hybrid role, on-site 3 days per week at one of the following office locations : Chevy Chase MD, New York, NY, Chicago, IL
Responsibilities :
Advise and serve as a business partner to Agency and Specialty Lines executive leaders and finance leadership team on business strategy, financial strategy, and business performance
Evaluate channel economics and drive investment analytics on expected vs. actual outcomes to continuously improve decision making and assumption drivers
Provide thought leadership on go-to-market models and supporting programs and analyze various investments
Partner with compensation to research, design, and analyze incentive programs across channels ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Lead and monitor financial policies and practices to ensure accurate and timely financial and operational reporting
Partner across functions to incorporate strategic assumptions into annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Work cross-functionally on strategic issues and opportunities facing the organization, including development of business strategy for sustained profitability, and expected financial returns
Collaborate with IT and Product organizations to define and implement infrastructure tools for enhanced support capabilities.
Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies
Provide leadership, fostering alignment, transparency, and talent development across multiple teams.
Qualifications :
10+ years of directly related experience and Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business degree
Proven leadership experience in managing teams effectively and driving change
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to influence others particularly senior management to achieve results
Strong project management skills and financial acumen
Ability to adapt quickly to change and align with company goals
Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills

Annual Salary
$137,000.00 - $224,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate / annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
