The Role

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Talent Acquisition, the Recruiting Specialist will provide high volume recruiting support to various hiring managers, ensuring proper levels of staffing in assigned locations.

This role will manage screening, interviewing, scheduling, and other pre-hire processes for candidates, while maintaining consistent communication with the hiring managers as we move candidates forward towards starting employment with Hallcon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine viability of candidates through the review of applications and resumes
  • Conduct a high volume of initial phone screens to filter candidates based on relevant skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
  • Be the first point of contact for potential candidates calling in showing interest in joining the organization
  • Work with Hiring Managers to schedule in-person interviews and hiring events, and following up to determine next steps for interviewees
  • Update, maintain, and present reports with KPIs such as hires by location, and candidates in process
  • Maintain necessary recruiting related files and trackers while upholding and protecting confidential information
  • Perform other special projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of computer applications like Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in HRIS and ATS applications
  • Understanding of federal, state and local HR and Labor Laws
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing workload
  • Experience working in a high volume recruiting space preferred

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 6 (six) months experience in Recruiting; and / or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Good organizational abilities
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Good problem-solving skills
