Position : Plant Layout CAD Drafter
Location : Fort Wayne, IN
Duration : 1 year contract with potential extension / direct hire conversion
Compensation : $40-$50 / hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Must Haves :
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering + manufacturing launch
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with creating / directing plant layouts / material layouts with using AutoCAD
- Working cross-functionally with teams
Plusses :
Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Job Details :
Insight Global is searching for a Plant Layout CAD Drafter for a large OEM in Fort Wayne, IN. This person will be responsible for partnering with other teams cross-functionally across the plant floor to help create and develop plant floor / material layouts while using AutoCAD.
This person will help to draft then pass off to teams for execution. The ideal candidate will have vast experience working in an automotive plant environment and supporting general assembly, body, body structures, paint, and material handling.
