JobPurpose :
Under thegeneral guidance of the Director of Housekeeping assist in ensuringthe highest standard of cleanliness of the guest rooms andassociated areas to a clean neat and well maintained.
Ensure all ofour guests receive high quality personalized service an EngagingDynamic GuestExperience.
Duties&Functions :
- Cleanand service bedrooms bathrooms and associated areas to the standardof cleanliness required by the hotel
- Resheetall rooms daily with clean linen ensuring creases are removed dustall furniture fully clean bathrooms replenish all guest suppliesand stationary vacuum all roomsthoroughly
- Record all serviced rooms onworksheet report and record any rooms that cannot beserviced
- Ensure that all VIP gifts arereplenished daily
- Dispose of all rubbish anddirty linen safely and correctly
- Ensure thatall equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition and reportfaults immediately
- Create and maintain apersonal respectful rapport with all guests deal with theirrequirements and inquiries
- Handle guestcomplaints promptly and with thorough follow up referring to otherswhen necessary
- Follow key signing proceduresand take responsibility for assigned keys
- Handin all lost property immediately and follow hotel lost and foundprocedure
- Assist in stock and special cleaningprojects as required
- All guest property ishandled in an efficient and correctmanner
- Report any damage to bedding curtainsblinds and soft furnishings to the FloorSupervisor / Manager
- Report any room that doesnot require service Do Not Disturb or double locked to FloorSupervisor / Manager
- Report any shortage of linensupplies or equipment to the FloorSupervisor / Manager
- Comply with Health andSafety hazards and report these at once
- Assistfellow employees to perform similar or related jobs as and whennecessary
- Any other reasonable duties asassigned by the supervisor or manager
- Werecognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may requireus to provide lateral service. We will on occasion call for eachindividual in the team to on a routine basis perform variousrelated tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptionalguestservice
ADDITIONALRESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicateeffectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear directionto the venue teams.
- Communicate with employeesusing a positive and clear speaking voice listen to and understandrequests respond with appropriate actions and provide accurateinformation.
- Remain calm and alert especiallyduring emergency situations and / or heavy restaurant activityserving as a role model for team and other employees.
Interact withother department personnel and venue staff asneeded.
Make decisions and take actions basedon previous experience and good judgment sometimes revisingprocedures to accommodate unusualsituations.

SUPPORTIVEFUNCTIONS
Inaddition to performance of the essential functions this positionmay be required to perform a combination of the followingsupportive functions with the percentage of time performing eachfunction to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon theparticular requirements of thecompany.
- Attend mandatory meetingsincluding divisional meetings staff meetingsetc.
- Participate in community events and ensurecorporate social responsibility goals of SLS aremet.
- Keep work area clean andorganized.
- Complete other duties as assigned bythe Department Head.
- Demonstrate positiveleadership characteristics which inspire Team Members to meet andexceed standards.
- Ensure compliance with SLSspolicies andprocedures.
OTHERDUTIES
- Assimilateinto SLSs culture through understanding supporting andparticipating in all SLS elements. Demonstrate working knowledge ofthe service standards.
- Regular attendance inconformance with the standards which may be established by SLS fromtime to time is essential to the successful performance of thisposition.
- Due to the cyclical nature of thehospitality industry employees may be required to work varyingschedules to reflect the business needs of theproperty.
SAFETYREQUIREMENTS
PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing workduties that may have the potential of risk to your health orsafety.
The restaurant will provide the required PPE. Team memberswill be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE.
Itis your responsibility to report defective damaged or lost PPE orequipment that does not fit properly to yourManager.
Requires ability to lift large and heavypackages and boxes and to the ability to load and unload small andlarge boxes as needed.
Must have ability to safely lift minimum of50 lbs. without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 lbs. withappropriateequipment.
GROOMING / UNIFORMS
Allemployees must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance.Specific uniform guidelines and / or required articles of clothingwill be explained to you as a part of the orientationprocess.

Qualifications :
SPECIFICJOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL ANDABILITY

- High SchoolDiploma or equivalent required
- One to two yearsin a public contact position preferably in an upscale or lifestylebrand hotel
