Sheet Metal Mechanics for a 2 week project
Read and interpret blueprints
- Hang duct work
- Install dampers, vav boxes, and air handlers
- Troubleshoot problems
- Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and codes
Must have your own tools and reliable transportation!
Basic Tools : tongs, snips, hammers, tape, marker, pliers
- Understand and apply all mechanical codes for duct installation.
- Properly install / hang air handlers and exhaust fans.
- Properly install square, round and oval ductwork and accessories dampers, louvers, etc.
- Properly insulate duct per project specifications.
- Take field measurements of ductwork based on drawings and field conditions
