Job Summary
The Rental Specialist is an inside sales position focused on assisting customers both by phone and in-person with their construction and industrial equipment rental and purchase needs.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide superior customer service to both walk-in and call-in customers by quickly identifying their rental needs, assisting them in selecting the right tool for their job and recording the reservation.
- Coordinate and schedule rentals of equipment at the locations including pickups, deliveries, and transfers.
- Ensure all customers interactions are done in an efficient, timely, professional, and respectful manner.
- Ensure all work areas at the counter and showroom are neat and organized.
- Make every effort to grow overall rental sales while maintaining maximum desired rental rates.
- Review, follow, and understand policies, procedures, and processes of the Superior Network of Companies.
- Follow and understand the Superior Rental Check- in process on all rental equipment and vehicles.
- Customer service requirements : answering phones, helping customers at the counter, and ensuring all customers are served in a timely fashion.
- Promote and maintain a positive work environment.
- Assist in balancing inventory, coordinating transfers, and correcting the rental inventory when necessary.
- Coordinate service calls and manage initial customer complaints.
- Continue to grow customer relationships and create new rental customers.
- Willing to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
Job Requirements :
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge and skill in one or more of the following business lines Construction, Water Sewer and Storm Products, Concrete Accessories, Masonry Supplies, Laser / Surveying Equipment, Hardscapes / Landscaping and Equipment Sales / Rentals.
- Previous sales experience preferred
