Position Summary
Reporting to the CEO the Controller is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Position is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of financial and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
The Controller will obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Collaborates with the Leadership Team to support overall company goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end close.
- Produce financials to meet timelines.
- Manages budget and forecasting responsibilities.
- Oversee the companies banking and ensure sufficient internal controls are in place.
- Monitors and analyzes department workflow and creates, develops and implements more efficient processes and procedures to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Oversee, guide, train and manage the accounting team. Provide ongoing support, feedback and direction on the team's day to day duties and deliverables while monitoring performance.
- Produce financials reporting for monthly Leadership meetings.
- Work with outside Accounting Firms for taxes and audits.
- Oversees payroll processing and benefit and K administration.
- Participates in group benefit selection and proposals.
- Be an advocate of the company and inspire and lead departments to adhere to the company's mission, and positive culture.

Required Qualifications
- BA / BS degree in business / accounting.
- MBA / CPA Preferred or equivalent experience.
- years management experience producing financial reports.
- Ability to work well under time limits, handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership skills and a big-picture method to approaching tasks.
- Familiarity with government filing deadlines ( property tax, quarterly taxes, sales taxes).
