Position Description
The Mechanical Engineer Supervisor oversees a team of Project Manager Engineers, Designers, and Document Coordinators. This position manages the teams’ schedules, resources to ensure group success.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manage multi-disciplinary engineering team including Project Manager Engineers, CAD Designers, and Document Coordinators.
Manage engineering resource availability, assigning project engineering teams, ensure timely execution of milestones with a continued emphasis towards lead time reduction
- Evaluate engineering quality data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversees the engineering of multi-million dollar pump and compressor packages with moderate customer specification requirements Support project cost reduction through process standardization, vendor selection, and improving engineering efficiency
- Provide technical direction / consultation to Application Engineering to improve quote accuracy and win new business Arrange for engineering support to field service for commissioning and troubleshooting
- Coaching, mentoring, and career development of the Core Engineering Team Coordinate with internal customers (Project Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly and Test) to create clean order releases with limited quality errors
- Participate in customer meetings to support negotiations, requirement definitions, troubleshooting, and project execution
Qualifications
- Will have supervisory experience in engineering or project management Will be capable of quick decision making related to engineering processes and rotating equipment optimization
- Will have knowledge of API standards, specifically API 610, API 617, PTC 8 and PTC 10.
- Also will be familiar with Hydraulic Institute and ISO standards, specifically HI 1.6 & 14.6 and ISO 9906. Will be capable of supporting multiple project configurations and customers at a time
- Will have strong attention to detail, and a high degree of focus on subordinate and customer satisfaction
- Will have strong personal organization and time management skills and be an excellent team player
- Will have strong communication skills and confidence in representing Sundyne in communications with customers
Desired credentials :
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering 5+ years in an engineering and / or technical fluid handling position with 1+ years in technical leadership / supervision

Compensation Details
Annual Salary : $105,000.00 - $120,000.00
Additional Compensation
The Salary offered will be determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position.
This position may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Sales Incentive Plan with a target of up to 30% of base salary, subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
Payment is based on individual performance against established sales targets. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Sundyne Relocation Policy.
