Purpose

Responsibilities

Support GSLI programs : Work with GSLI staff on daily operations of the Global Sustainability Leadership Undergraduate Minor, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.

Support the GSLI team in the execution of GSLIs experiential programs and program-related activities. Maintain good working relationships with faculty, staff, and students involved in program activities and initiatives.

Event Planning and Execution : Assist with planning and execution of events, workshops, information sessions, advisory council meetings, guest speakers, executive meetings, and site visits related to the Minor.

Responsibilities include reserving event space and A / V equipment, order catering, producing and ordering event materials, assisting participants and speakers, setting up and breakdown of event spaces, and other event logistics.

Communications : Support content marketing and branding : newsletter content, flyers, posters, website updates, and social media engagement.

Manage branded products swag inventory, vendors, licensing requests, and orders.

General Administrative Support : Prepare and process expenditure requests and payment forms, travel reimbursements for faculty, staff, and students, room reservations, maintaining electronic files, ordering office and event supplies, and maintaining the GSLI hub space.

Other Duties : Support team functions as needed, contributing to the overall success of the GSLI. Undertake special projects and tasks as assigned by the managing director.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of professional administrative experience, or high school graduation or GED, and seven years of professional administrative experience, including one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Independent, curious, self-starter able to work and learn in an entrepreneurial environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, and Canva is a plus. Experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in event planning and social media management is a plus. Experience with UT systems is a plus.

Hourly Rate

$24.00

Work Shift

Hours per week - 40

The work schedule is from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

It will require 4 days per week on campus and 1 day WFH.
