The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a diverse range of recreational and therapeutic activities designed to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Resp onsibilities :
Activity Planning and Coordination : Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
Plan and schedule a variety of activities, including but not limited to arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise programs, social events, and recreational outings.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and facility policies.
Resident Engagement : Assess residents' interests and capabilities to create personalized activity plans. Facilitate individual and group activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical engagement.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where all residents feel valued and encouraged to participate.
Team Leadership : Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality programming.
Conduct regular staff meetings to review program effectiveness and address any issues. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate activities into overall care plans.
Program Management : Manage the activities budget, including purchasing supplies and planning events within financial constraints.
Maintain accurate records of activity participation, resident feedback, and program outcomes. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments based on resident feedback and observed outcomes.
Compliance and Reporting : Ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements and facility standards. Prepare and submit reports on program activities, resident participation, and outcomes as required.
Stay current with best practices and trends in recreational therapy and skilled nursing care.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in activity programming or a similar role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
Certification : Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or similar certification preferred.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create engaging and diverse programming for residents with varying abilities.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
