Description

At Regions, the Commercial Banking Leader directs, coordinates, and leads the business development and relationship management activities of a team of Commercial Relationship Managers in an assigned geographic location.

This leader works within the Commercial Banking group and targets general industry clients with annual revenues between $1 and $250 million.

The role is focused on revenue growth, business model execution, sales performance, sound risk practices and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages sales processes and coaches Commercial Relationship Managers in all relationship development efforts
  • Sets call and sales goals, ensuring they are clearly communicated to Commercial Relationship Managers
  • Provides sales coaching and feedback on pipeline of new and expanded business
  • Ensures adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Provides leadership and support to Commercial Relationship managers while building a team-oriented culture of excellence
  • Performs general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Seven (7) years of experience in commercial banking, sales, or relationship management
  • Demonstrated credit acumen

Preferences

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Prior experience in management / supervisory role

  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.

As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target :

$177,422.00 USD$252,170.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans :

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.

Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
