AMD together we advance THE ROLE : A strong software architect who is experienced in 3D graphic and compute development including APIs, User Model Drivers, Kernel Model Drivers, and Firmware with GPU architecture expertise to build SW debuggability.

THE PERSON : You are passionate about debuggability on GPU. You have good understanding of GPU architecture and software stacks from APIs to firmware running on GPU.

You are able to communicate effectively and collaborate across both inside and outside AMD. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Define the vision and strategy for debugging on AMD GPUs, working with driver, firmware, hardware, and tools teams to achieve cross-org alignment with the strategy.

Conceive new debugging features needed to deliver to the strategy. Drive concept feasibility studies, implement POCs, and complete technical evaluations of these concepts.

Identify competitive debugging capability gaps and define features that deliver best in class solutions to address these competitive gaps.

Write high quality software architecture design spec for debuggability, prioritizing the support for advanced graphics features such as GPU work graph and ray tracing.

Work with driver, firmware, and tools architects to enable design and participate in the debuggability prioritization, development, and test plan.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : In depth experience and knowledge in GPU architecture, 3D APIs, and low-level system software (drivers, firmware).

Understand compute-based 3D graphics rendering with hands on experience in programming models, feature development, and interactions with hardware and software architects to find solutions for the current and future GPU products.

Conversant in GPU technologies, ASIC programming models, and system-wide debug technologies and approaches. A strong track record of project delivery for large and cross functional projects Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to engage and guide technical teams. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS : Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.

Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
