Compensation : In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $23.

00-$28.75 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities & Duties include :

  • Remain alert and awake at all times
  • Implement and maintain structure within the program and create / follow a routine
  • Provide intensive supervision, documentation, and organization
  • Utilize strong verbal de-escalation and positive strong boundaries
  • Basic meal preparation and light housekeeping
  • Conduct daily room inspections and15-minute bed checks with a focus on safety and security
  • Transport clients to and from school, activities, appointments, etc.
  • Attend treatment team and required trainings
  • Document incidents, shift summaries, behaviors and any other necessary items.
  • Responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.
  • All other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a professional mentality
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree and / or 2 years experience working with the youth
  • Must be at least 23 years of age (will consider 21 years of age)
  • Must be able to pass several background checks
  • Must hold a valid Colorado driver's license or have the ability to obtain one
  • Must meet agency MVR criteria
  • Due to the short length of stay for these clients, mastery of direct care skills are a must

Please note, this position is internally referred to as an Overnight Treatment Counselor.
