Essential Functions :
Use a computer and programs such as MS Office or Google Suite and Aeries,
Ttype letters, memoranda, schedules, bulletins, certificates, lists, forms and other documents from straight copy, rough draft, notes or verbal instructions; enter data.
Answer the telephone; check voicemail messages, email and communication application messages.
Greet students, parents, and guardians and provide information regarding student attendance and school activities.
Maintain accurate logs, records and files of students’ absences and tardies.
Sign students in and out of campus upon later arrival or early departure.
Communicate with District and site staff and administrators on student attendance.
Call guardians of students who are truant, have irregular attendance, or for other attendance-related matters.
Assist with inputting, retrieving, reconciling and adjusting attendance data and attendance reports.
Assist with preparing forms and attendance summaries, truancy reports and other documents.
Assist with monitoring attendance and identify habitual truants.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Distribute documents, forms, and information items to students, parents, staff and members of the public as directed.
Operate a variety of contemporary office equipment.
Sort and distribute incoming US and District mail.
Assist with attendance-related activities or various other projects as requested.
Provide interpretation in meetings, and for students, staff, parents and other parties as assigned by the position; translate notes, letters and other materials as needed.
Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands :
Inside work with no exposure to weather conditions.
Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone; seeing to read a variety of documents; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment;
sitting for extended periods of time; bending, kneeling or stooping; reaching overhead to retrieve or store materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of contemporary office practices and equipment, including mass market software programs such as MS Office and Google Suite.
Knowledge of record-keeping and filing practices.
Ability to keyboard to enter data or create documents.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with accuracy.
Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with school site staff, students, parents or guardians and District staff.
Ability to use appropriate telephone and e-mail etiquette.
Ability to process a high-volume of work with accuracy.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
Ability to meet schedules and timelines.
Education, Training and Experience :
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) year of clerical experience.
Additional Requirements :
Successful passage of written or performance examination.
