About the role :

A dynamic and visionary individual is sought to join our organization as a highly engaged member of the Commercial Operations and Business Solutions (COBS) team within Commercial Learning and Development (CL&D) during a time of significant change.

The Associate Director of Brand Capabilities will play a crucial role in driving and navigating transformative initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and growth.

The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, combined with strategic thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills, and an enterprise mindset, will be paramount to success in this role.

Strong leadership will be required to inspire and motivate teams to embrace change and achieve organizational objectives.

As an Associate Director of Brand Capabilities, you will work closely with various levels of brand leadership from Sr. Product Managers through Franchise heads, as well as partner closely with cross-functional partners such as Analytics & Insights, Managed Markets, Patient Services etc.

This team plays an important role within the organization for advancing core competencies as well as identifying and developing next generation capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced marketer who has a passion for partnering to advance strategic know-how and to influence patient outcomes.

How you will contribute :

Partner and advise marketing, brand, and launch teams and their cross functional partners on marketing capabilities such as Product Positioning, Insights Generation, Brand Planning, Customer Engagement and Measurement

Identify capability and learning needs with brand partners and facilitate connections and sharing of best practices across the USBU.

Work directly with launch teams to develop the needed capabilities and business outputs for launch.

Parlay marketing subject matter expertise into a learning environment by identifying new learning modalities, creating curriculum and upskilling the Takeda commercial community

Identify future competency and capability development opportunities with brand partners

Collaborate and support the ongoing development and execution of the brand capabilities roadmap

Influence and foster change management elements through initiatives such as community of practice, communications, best practice sharing etc.

Manage resource requirements, projects and evaluate impact

Implement personal development plans and training to achieve business objectives.

Embed an agile mindset and spirit of innovation in the team and the way they work.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

Required :

Minimum BS / BA degree with MS / MBA preferred

Minimum of 5 years of marketing & brand experience through a variety of marketing roles in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic / biotech, or medical industry

Minimum of 8 years of manager level experience in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic / biotech, or medical industry

Ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders

Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables

Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace.

Strong analytical skills and budget management experience.

Previous organizational change management experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority.

Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills

Strong organizational, planning and project management skills ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for multiple projects

Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of small to medium, multi-disciplinary dispersed teams.

Strong judge of talent with the ability to make tough talent decisions.

Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

Preferred :

Experience across stages of a brand’s life cycle (launch, growth and end of life cycle)

Launch experience in pharmaceutical / biotech

U.S. Base Salary Range :

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.

The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and / or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.

U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
