Summary of Job Duties :
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) is seeking an Associate Athletics Director for Facilities & Event Management.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Associate AD for Facilities & Event Management will serve as a member of the Athletics Leadership Team and provide oversight for all aspects of the athletics facilities, daily operations, game day event management and capital projects.
This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency / institution policy.
Qualifications :
Required Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or related field;
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Facilities, Event Management or related field, preferably in a collegiate or professional athletics setting.
Other comparable experience will be considered).
Preferred Education and / or Experience :
Master’s Degree preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide unit leadership for athletics facilities daily operations and game day / special events;
- Provide unit leadership for all full-time, student and event-based operations staff;
- Schedule use of all athletics facilities and maintain a master schedule of events;
- Direct and supervise operations for all athletics game day and special events and coordinate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality guest experience;
- Develop and implement a credential system for athletics and special events;
- Oversee all operations, maintenance and custodial services for athletics facilities, including the Jack Stephens Center (indoor arena), Hatcher Wrestling Center (wrestling), Hogan Field (baseball), Coleman Sports Complex (soccer / track & field) and Donaghey Student Center Natatorium (swimming);
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures and oversee security for each facility, working with Campus Public Safety;
- Develop and coordinate submission of bids for postseason hosting opportunities;
- Serve as liaison to University committees related to facilities, capital projects and related areas;
- Lead all capital planning and projects for athletics facilities;
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

- Must be able to develop meaningful and productive relationships with colleagues, coaches and student-athletes;
- Strong computer skills and related software capability;
- Excellent management, organizational, analytical, and project management skills;
- Ability to meet established deadlines and work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external constituents;
- Ability to travel occasionally and work on weekends, nights and holidays when necessary;
- Ability to analyze, interpret, communicate, and adhere to Trojan Athletics, UA Little Rock, Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, rules and regulations;
