Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fleet Planner to join our team in Newark, United States. As a Fleet Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our fleet operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining vehicle safety standards.
This position requires a highly organized individual who can effectively manage our fleet inventory and coordinate vehicle movements to meet customer demands.

- Develop and implement efficient fleet planning strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce costs
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Coordinate vehicle transfers between locations to meet demand fluctuations and maintain service levels
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and oversee repair processes to ensure fleet reliability
- Create and maintain accurate fleet inventory records, including vehicle status, location, and availability
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast vehicle demand and adjust fleet size accordingly
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance fleet safety and compliance
- Generate regular reports on fleet performance, utilization, and cost-effectiveness for management review
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fleet management to continually improve operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and fleet management software (e.g., Fleetio, Geotab, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of fleet management principles and vehicle maintenance practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Willingness to travel occasionally (5-10% of the time)
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Familiarity with automotive industry terminology and practices is a plus
