Summary of Purpose
Promote, establish, and maintain relationships with companies to facilitate and grow apprenticeships in college-wide career and technical education programs.
Promotes workforce solutions such as apprenticeship and internships to employers. Develop and manage related programs supporting apprenticeship.
This position is expected to work in a multi-culturally diverse working environment.
Starting Base Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
Typical Duties
This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the
employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and
responsibilities that may be required :
1. Works across college with developing, implementing and maintaining apprenticeships and related training instruction and processes.
2. Maintains relationships with government and other agencies, especially the Department of Labor Apprentice Program Office including maintaining governmental records, completing and submitting required paperwork, and attending local and regional meetings.
3. Represent the college in organizations, meetings and conferences to assist in development of apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship and experiential education and training programs.
4. Regularly communicates with students and employers about important registration dates and policies.
5. Participates in outreach events to build new contacts for apprenticeship, career services or other workforce solutions.
6. Develops and distributes marketing materials to local organizations.
7. Participates in outreach related events as determined by the department.
8. Assists faculty in establishing contacts for potential internships or apprenticeships.
9. Prepares annual reports reflecting yearly activities including number of apprentices served, number of new programs established, and lists of outreach efforts.
10. Maintains accurate and up to date records on students involved in experiential learning.
11. Provides campus tours to companies or student groups, as needed.
12. Participates in grant activities and grant writing to secure new funding to expand apprenticeship and other career connection / services opportunities or programs.
13. Supervises related support / program activities as assigned
14. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
15. Ability to work additional hours, as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience
EDUCATION : A Bachelor degree in Technical Education, Educational Administration, Business, or a related field with 5-7 years’ work experience will also be considered to meet minimum education and experience.
Master degree in Technical Education, Educational Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE : At least three (3) years of work experience in business / industry.
