Facilities Associate

MBM Hospitality, a full-service catering company is looking to add a Facilities Associate / Janitor who will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our Headquarters.

Duties will include but not limited to : dusting, vacuuming, wiping down furniture and windows, sanitizing and stocking restrooms, laundry, trash removal, and other housekeeping / custodial duties required to ensure the building is safe and clean.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Custodial Duties at the MBM Hospitality HQ
• Vacuum, Sweep & mop kitchen and entire facility as needed
• Clean, sanitize restrooms and make sure restrooms are properly stocked with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
• Collect trash throughout the facility and transport to proper location
• Disinfecting surfaces, including countertops, tables, office settings, desktops and shelves
• Sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens, towels and other textile items
• Prepare and clean tasting rooms for clients
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.
• Takes ownership of inventory of cleaning supplies
• Ensure Housekeeping / Custodial cleaning standards are adhered to
• Assist with housekeeping inventory, and maintain prescribed stock supplies
• Identify and execute minor repairs
• Report on maintenance and cleaning activities and needs
• Ensure standard practices for maintaining the highest level of proficiency, safety, and outstanding customer service
• Work alongside Kitchen, Equipment, & Operations Department and take on additional task as needed

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
• Must be organized, detailed and task oriented
• Able to work in a fast paced environment, and adapt to changes in tasks throughout each day
• Must feel comfortable working both independently or in a team environment
• Must be enthusiastic, and willing to learn to become proficient in the following skills : basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical, painting, janitorial, and housekeeping
• Open to learning the use of hand and power tools common to the skills listed above
• Customer service skills a must

Physical Demands

• Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required
• Some maintenance required at heights; must be able to climb ladders / scaffolding, and be comfortable working at heights
• Facilities staff may need to work in varying weather conditions, extreme heat in excess of 90 degrees or freezing below 0, rain, heavy winds, torrential down pour, or snow
• It could be necessary to perform tasks in various work environments, such as flat hard surfaces, rocky, steep hills, wet grounds, grass areas, steep stairs, heights, dust and dirt
• Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds numerous times throughout the shift, as needed

Education and Experience

High school diploma

2 years of related experience in a maintenance environment

Clean driving record, while onsite, you may be driving company vehicles

Regular hours would be Monday through Friday 10am - 6 : 30pm or 11am - 7 : 30pm
