The Utility Operator performs installations, repairs, and maintenance on water services, fire hydrants, valves, and water mains of various sizes.

Conducts bench and field tests on water meters, repairs or replaces meter boxes, valve boxes, and vaults. Carries out hydrant painting, flow tests, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Assists in maintaining Water Distribution ISO Certification by adhering to standard operating instructions. This role focuses on heavy equipment operation (backhoe, etc) in a utility or construction work environment.

Qualified candidates will have two years of general maintenance and construction experience in a utility environment.

Pay rate : $18.83 - $20.72 / hr.

Schedule : 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm, Monday - Friday
