What you will do

Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations and SRE Engineering Leader to oversee our cloud infrastructure and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

Our platform, hosted entirely on Microsoft Azure, leverages .NET, C#, and Angular technologies. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, Running a large scale cloud operations, able to manage and control the cloud operations cost.

Should come from a software development background.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including VMs, containers, and microservices.
  • Develop automation scripts to handle and track incidents.
  • Implement and maintain security systems and diligent code deployment automation.
  • Monitor data center health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
  • Help negotiate SLA agreements and manage SLA compliance.
  • Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality / user base.
  • Explore new technology solutions and ways to integrate them into operations.
  • Mentor team members and manage multiple cross-functional projects.

What you should bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in managing IT operations or cloud-based environments.
  • Strong background in software development and scripting; experience with .NET, C#, Angular.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud site reliability engineering.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity practices and strategies.
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture and its impact on business continuity.
  • Exceptional team management, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure, cybersecurity, and / or leadership preferred.
