Position : Process Group Manager
Location : Cary, NC
Description of work to be performed :
Provide engineering support for Kruger and VWT product lines. Perform preliminary and final detailed process design, proposal preparation, modeling / simulations, and equipment specification and selection.
Write control system functional descriptions. Perform plant start-up and operator training. Provide plant operations support and troubleshooting.
Responsible for design and technical risk for all separations projects. Establish training and development plan for team.
Work with Principal Engineers to develop training tools, modules, and slides. Assist with project related questions and tasks.
Schedule and track field service needs. Delegate and track tender tasks.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Requirements :
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in a related occupation.
- The position also requires experience with : 5 years of experience with process design of water and wastewater treatment;
- 5 years of experience performing analyses of plant operating data and summarizing conclusions; 5 years of experience performing lab scale testing and analysis and identifying trends and practical solutions based on conclusions;
- 5 years of experience with plant-wide Model Simulations and utilizing product relevant design tools and procedures; 5 years of experience completing technical evaluations of new and existing water and wastewater treatment technologies;
- 5 years of experience generating and conducting a general review of project specifications and construction plans; 5 years of experience developing written plans and sampling protocols for troubleshooting and evaluation of water and wastewater treatment facilities;
and 5 years of experience assisting with process startup and commissioning and training plant operations personnel. 25% foreign and domestic travel required to support process startups, pilot activities, process troubleshooting, and operator training.
Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report / appear into Veolia Water Technologies, Inc.’s Cary, NC location.
