Summary

Responsible for designing water rates that recover costs, meet financial performance requirements, respond to customer needs in support of SRP's corporate objectives.

In alignment with strategy and policy, this role will be involved in the development of pricing studies, programs and rate designs that align with industry best practices and are supported by sound and accurate analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare cost studies and develop rates, rate adjustments, rate policy, regulations, and other resources contracts.
  • Define problems, work with large data sets, apply advanced economic and mathematical concepts, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop innovative strategies, quantify the competitive performance of the organization's operations and / or markets, and evaluate the potential impact of changes.
  • Administer water rate change proceedings and document rate alternative suggestions and management recommendations.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative economic and financial analyses for Association wide use.
  • Represent Pricing and participate in company-wide cross-functional teams.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial / statistical modeling and pricing tools preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, RTOs, transmission / OATT pricing, and / or energy markets a plus.

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor.

Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week.
