Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shared Service Director who will be responsible for overseeing and leading the Shared Service team and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, suppliers, employee travel reimbursement and oversight for the accounting of fixed assets.
The Shared Service Director will maintain accurate financial records, reconcile transactions, and will be responsible for managing a team of specialists.
This role will be responsible for leading an efficient, unified, and success-driven team, and will also oversee change management as this shared-services functional team is scaling.
The ideal candidate will have strong people and communication skills, experience in process improvement, be a self-starter and can think outside of the box to find creative solutions to problem solving.
This role pays an annual salary of $120,000 to $130,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Shared Service department.
- Supervise a team of AP specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Supervise and oversee the fixed asset accounting function with focus on centralization.
- Providing leadership and guidance as we implement a new ERP system and new Coupa P2P system.
- Review and approve invoices and payment requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and employee reimbursements.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, transactions and activities.
- Manage the company wide Concur travel and entertainment system.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including aging reports, spending analytics, cash flow projections, and other key metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implement automation tools, and improve overall efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers, addressing any inquiries, disputes, or payment issues.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, regulations, and trends related to Shared Service and accounts receivable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Work experience as an AP Sr Manager or Director or a similar role in a complex business organization with 5-8 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with larger accounting software and ERP systems.
- Diligence and accuracy required.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Experience with process automation and implementing accounting software solutions with NetSuite and Tipalti is a plus.
