General Description
The Cashier’s primary responsibility is to ring customers up and collect payment. Maintaining an accurate sales record and cash bank is of utmost importance.
The Cashier is also our face to the public interacting with customers, acting as an integral part of the sales effort, and influencing customer satisfaction.
The Cashier is acts as a salesperson, selling the product to customers, answering questions, and collecting payment. The Cashier also helps the Grill-Master load all necessary materials and equipment, set the truck up at the point of sales, and close down the truck at the end of the sales day.
Essential Duties
- Collect payment from customers and maintain an accurate cash bank
- Actively and enthusiastically sell the product
- Offer the highest level of customer service at all times
- Assist the Grill-Master in packaging the products for customers
- Maintain a clean and orderly point of sales at all times
- Assist the Grill-Master in loading the truck with all materials and equipment necessary for sales
- Assist the Grill-Master in closing down the truck at the end of the sales day
Minimum QualificationsSkills
The cashier must have excellent customer service skills. Fluency in English and excellent verbal communication is required.
A comfortable working level of arithmetic is essential.
Experience and Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in cold and hot environments.
