Responsibilities :
- Leadplumbing design on a variety of projects (Healthcare / Labs, Industrial,Education, Institutional, and Commercial)
- Develop the following :
oProjectscope
oSchedule
oPlumbingand fire protection budget / design approach
oFeasibilitystudies / project cost estimate
oValueengineering
oCodeReview
oProjectspecifications
- Perform project managementduties
- Coordinate project witharchitects, clients, and contractors
- Review show drawings
- Prepare construction drawingsof plumbing and fire protection systems from schematic through the constructiondocument phases
- Perform / direct complex designof piping and equipment selection for plumbing and fire protection systems forlarge scale buildings
- Specify plumbing / fireprotection equipment
- Perform QAQC onprojects
- Mentor / trainjunior staff
Requirements :
- Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of PlumbingDesign experience in Consulting Engineering
- CBD or CBDT required
- EI or PE Licensepreferred
- Proficient inlocal / national building codes and design practices
- Extensive knowledge ofthe following :
oPlumbingCodes and Uniform Plumbing Codes
oNFPA54; National Fuel Gas Code
oRelevantbuilding codes, sustainability, green building rating systems, industrystandards
oLEEDcompliance documentation
oPlumbingdesign / calculation resources
oRevitand AutoCAD
Understandingof and continued education of relevant trends / standard methodologies
Salary iscommensurate with experience.
