About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associates to join our team at the Union Square Holiday Market for the upcoming holiday season.
From November 14 to December 24, you’ll have the opportunity to work in one of NYC’s most iconic holiday markets, helping customers find the perfect gifts while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced, festive environment.
As a Retail Associate, you will be responsible for greeting shoppers, assisting with product selection, processing sales, and ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors.
You’ll take orders for our limited menu of broth-based beverages, baked sweet potatoes reminiscent of Korean street food vendors, and our retail jars of shelf stable Korean-style bone broth as well as branded merch.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a similar role is preferred.
- Outgoing and energetic personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for creating a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining product displays and handling transactions.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Many shifts available, strong preference for those who can commit to a regular schedule for the full market season.
- Experience working in high-traffic, outdoor environments is a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet and engage with customers in a warm, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Assist shoppers in finding the perfect gifts, answering questions about products, and making recommendations.
- Process sales transactions quickly and accurately using a point-of-sale system.
- Ensure the booth is well-organized, clean, and stocked throughout the day.
- Restock products as needed and maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Help open and / or close the booth, ensuring that displays are attractive and inviting.
- Provide information about products and our brand mission and values.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing any inquiries or issues with a positive attitude.
- Work efficiently in a busy market environment, especially during peak hours.
