Description
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Receptionist / Patient Registration Rep for its Story City Family Medicine office.
Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include : maintaining reception desk activities, including greeting, instructing, checking-in, and directing patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
Answer multi-line phone and scheduling patients. Sets up new patient accounts, update demographics and insurance information, miscellaneous reports, balancing cash drawers and give general information on clinic services in accordance with McFarland Clinic's Employee-Level Vision Related Behaviors.
Education
High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
Days : Monday & Friday, combination of morning and afternoon shifts. Tuesday and Thursday and as needed
Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Experience
- Keyboard and computer experience.
- Receptionist experience preferred, but not required.
- Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Proficient use of standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copies, printers, etc.
- Completion of Medical Terminology class required within one year of employment.
