Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location : Glens Falls, NY 12801
Shift Details : Variable shifts - 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM / Afternoon shifts 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM
Hours : 30 hours guaranteed per week, with up to 40 hours scheduled per week
Contract Duration : 13 weeks
Pay Rate : $37 / hr - $41 / hr
Education Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred
Skills & Experience :
2+ years of Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) experience - Required
Key Responsibilities :
- Work in a highly team-oriented environment
- Assist with the preparation and sterilization of instruments for various procedures
- Support 16 operating rooms, including coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections
- Manage instruments for a variety of procedures : Neuro, Orthopedic, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, General, and Gynecology
- Daily case volume : approximately 50 procedures
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) : Cerner
Licenses & Certifications :
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) - Required
- COVID-19 vaccination - Required
Additional Information :
- COVID-19 vaccinations are strongly encouraged, though not mandatory
- Patient population includes both pediatric and adult cases
