Position Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. II Engineer - Unified Communications.

In this role, the successful candidate will report to the manager of MCIT Infrastructure Unified Communication and Collaboration team.

The experienced Senior Unified Communication Engineer will play a key role in managing our modern, hybrid (on-premises / cloud) Unified Collaboration and Contact Center environment.

Job Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the implementation of UC projects, ensuring smooth integration and user adoption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals and deliverables.
• Lifecycle maintenance of UC-related systems and infrastructure.
• Provide 3rd level support for all UC-related issues and outages.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize our UC infrastructure for peak performance and availability.
• Manage and support collaboration tools such as Cisco Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Maintain and enhance UC-related systems and infrastructure throughout their lifecycle.
• Proactively address system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Research and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our UC ecosystem.
• Foster a supportive team environment by collaborating with colleagues and conducting knowledge transfers.
• Create runbooks and knowledgebase documentation.

Minimum Qualifications :

To qualify you must have a Typically requires 7 or more years of experience and BA / BS degree.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in a hybrid (on-premises / cloud) UC and Contact Center environment.

Proficiency with UC platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Expressway, CUBE, Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

Strong understanding of UC concepts, including dial plans, provisioning, and user management.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a knack for identifying and resolving complex issues.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $129,666.45 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
